Becky & Mike Wedding Photography

Becky and Mike were married at Glendorgal Hotel which is a seaside hotel in Porth, just north of Newquay. Although they live up country it was possible to meet them at the studio before the wedding which is an advantage not to meet as strangers on the day. The hotel is a very popular wedding venue which I have visited, as photographer, more than any other. The conservatory which is used for the wedding breakfast looks out over Porth beach; likewise the wedding room where the ceremony takes place.

During the ceremony I stand in a ideally suited position for the wedding photography in Cornwall - which is facing the couple and a little to the side. This positon allows me not only to see the bride and groom face-on but also to capture the responses of the guests during the ceremony as well. Afterwards, the wedding party followed Becky and Mike, led by myself, passed the drinks on the way out to the terrace.

A little further on towards the cliffs edge is a grassed area which is the best place for the group photos. However, for B & M, like most other couples, the fun really began or begins on the beach. Along came the best man and bridesmaid with us. See our blog for some of the beach shots. We joined the guests about 35 minutes later and I departed after the posed cake-cutting photographs. I can stay on for the receiving-line, speeches and first dance, however in this case it was not requested.
