Cat and Tegs Wedding Photography

Cat and Tegs, as they like to be called, are local Newquayites; not in the purest sense of the word that is born and bred there but residents in Newquay for some time now. It was a particularly momentus occasion because Cats family have been good friends since I first moved to Cornwall with my own.

Newquay Christian Centre, their wedding venue, is a vibrant, lively, charismatic church in Seymour Road, Newquay. Most people attending were very much at home it seemed and participated willingly and joyfully. The church interior, though not the prettiest structurally, was beautifully decorated with flowers which enhanced the photographs greatly. I was permitted to move around discreetly which I did to capture the spirit of the proceedings.

Hoping to travel a short drive down to Trenance Gardens was dashed by the incoming torrential weather which was unfortunate timing; however, The Source cafe, next door to the main auditorium, was a relaxed, informal location for candid shots covering speeches, present-giving and the cake-cutting. Back to the auditorium for the family and friends group shots and wedding photography in Cornwall. Photographs of the couple generally using the carpetted floor for portrait-style photoies I am used to taking at the studio. The evening ended with an array of floating bubbles being blown into the atmosphere as they exited down the isle out to the open air and awaiting Mini. All in all a wonderful day with many great memories to share.
